This island was last on my to-visit list as it seemed like a tourist hotspot peddled by vloggers and influencers deceptively portraying it through heavily color-graded photos. Truth be told, there was more to it than picturesque spots, the vibrant nightlife, the aesthetic hostels, and the sumptuous food and booze you can discover in every nook and cranny of General Luna.
What really kept me enchanted on this short visit to this beautiful island was the enduring and warm hospitality of the locals. Everywhere I went, the people seemed free from skepticism and ill-will towards others. It makes me want to come back again and again.
