Things To See, Do And Experience During A Layover At Nairobi Airport
An airport is either your first introduction or last memory of a country that you are arriving to or departing from, so it has to stand out for the right reasons. In some cases, you may also only be transiting through an airport, so if you're not going to step outside of it, you'll certainly only get a feel for the country through its airport terminals and it’s better that your experience be positive! Having travelled through and from countless airports, I thought it was about time that I give you an insight into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. This airport is one of the busiest airports in Africa and boasts of over 40 passenger airlines and 14 cargo airlines. This airport really is quite representative of its country as it highlights why tourists do and should visit Kenya and in this review, I'm going to tell you a little bit about each of these reasons and how they are reflected in the airport.

Nairobi is one of Africa’s most popular cities. Despite its obvious challenges, the city’s resilience is a testament to its people’s character. Whenever you’re in town, be sure to experience the true side of the city, not just the touristy bits. Although the tourist spots are excellent and well designed for visitors, for an authentic Nairobi experience, head to where the locals spend their time and get to know what truly makes this city tick. Best Things To Do In Nairobi, Kenya
Nairobi is the capital city of the country Kenya. The city has a population of about 3,138,369 residents and is famous for being the only major town in the world with a game reserve. The name of the city originated from its original inhabitants who were the Maasai people, and it means cold waters. The name was brought about by a river within the city called the Nairobi River. The city, which was then a town back in the 1800s, had once been wiped off by a plague and fire, but later in the 1900s it was completely rebuilt and even replaced Mombasa as the capital city in 1905. After independence and struggles between the Kikuyu people and the Maasai people, the city has rapidly grown.
