This is the Nohkalikai waterfalls in Cherapunji Meghalaya. According to Wikipedia, it is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. According to local folklore, this waterfall has been named after a woman who jumped off the cliff (there is a very sad folktale). 

If you're heading from Shillong to Cherapunji,  be sure to get your camera ready when you're en route because views like these should not be missed! 

That's me in Galigibaga Beach, South Goa. One of the hidden gems. There were hardly any tourists. We even spotted dolphins jumping through the waves. And crabs were crawling freely everywhere through the golden sandy beach. It is also the nesting ground for Olive Ridley turtles, but we did not spot them.

This hotel is less than a 10-minute drive from the Taj Mahal, the most iconic symbol of love. This UNESCO World Heritage Site made of white marble attracts tourists from all over the world. It is mesmerizing to see the intricate workmanship of the Taj Mahal and the sheer grandeur of its design.

TIP: Best times to visit the place are months from October to February. It is best not to visit this place during the hot summer months since it becomes difficult to enjoy the spot due to the marble heating up quickly.

Make sure to visit Keoladeo Ghana National Park when in Bharatpur. Words can't do justice to the sheer beauty of this place. Walking through the lush greenery, the chirping sound of birds everywhere felt so refreshing from the daily routine.

We spotted many different bird species like Pelicans, Eagles, Hawks, Herons, Vultures, Cranes, Jackals, etc. You can rent bicycles, walk or hire rickshaws to roam around the park.

TIP: The best times to visit the place are between August and November, while from October to February you can see migratory birds flocking the sanctuary.

If you're in Bharatpur, don't miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich grandeur of Deeg Palace! This hidden gem is a true marvel, boasting stunning architecture and rich historical significance. We explored the intricate gardens, ornate fountains, and beautiful pavilions that felt like stepping back in time. The palace's royal charm and serene ambiance made it a truly enchanting experience.

This is the beautiful Humayun's tomb in Delhi, India. A masterpiece from the Mughal era, this historical gem was one of their earliest monuments in India. If you find yourself in Delhi, don't miss the chance to add this beauty to your must-visit list. The well-preserved Monument is surrounded by lush green lawns and fountains that add to the allure of this architectural marvel. It's a perfect spot to capture Instaworthy pics, and be transported back in time!

TIP: There is an entry fee for the monument and parking place. You can explore Sundar Nursery which is a beautiful park just adjacent to the Humayun Tomb Complex. Avoid visiting during holidays, especially during Christmas and New Year, when it can be very crowded.

"Had an amazing picnic by the mighty Ganga in Rishikesh with my family and some friends. The best part was this particular private beach on the banks of the river Ganga, which we got access to from the resort we were staying at. We loved this beach as it wasn't crowded at all! The kids had a blast playing in the wet sand and splashing around in the water. There were vendors selling piping hot Maggie noodles and tea too. We spent the whole day by the banks, having a blast. For lunch, we didn't have to go far - just a walk back to the hotel! Perfect spot for a fantastic day picnic!

Tip: Best times to visit would be Sep - Oct and Feb-April. If you are adventures you can go river rafting too."

During our journey to the Vaishno Devi temple, we decided to explore a charming hill station nearby – Patnitop which is situated in Kashmir. We had taken the trip in June and the weather was very pleasant. Clouds were floating around the mountains and refreshing mountain breeze, tall trees, and colorful wildflowers adorned the landscape, creating a picturesque destination. During winter Patnitop transforms into a snowy wonderland.

Tip: If you're planning a trip to Vaishno Devi, don't miss out on adding Patnitop to your itinerary. You won't be disappointed!

These are pics from one of my recent trips to Patnitop, Jammu and Kashmir. These are of some street-side vendors selling wooden handicraft items and shawls. So when in Jammu and Kashmir, buy some wooden handicraft items as souvenirs. I bought some colorful bells to decorate my house.

For authentic Goanese cuisine visit Martin's Cafe. It's very famous and popular for its authentic Goan food. Many film stars and famous sportsmen have visited this place. There is always a queue to eat. But the wait is worth it. So add this to your Goa bucket list.

Must haves momos and fruit beer, in Delhi Haat! Delhi haat is an open-air food and handmade crafts bazaar located in New Delhi. One can find authentic food from all the different regions/states of India in. But my favourite are steamed momos with fruit beer 🍻
