Rizal is a province in the Philippines named after the country’s national hero - Dr. Jose Rizal. It’s a paradise for nature lovers. You can find a variety of natural attractions, including waterfalls like the Hinulugan Taktak in Antipolo or the Kinamatayan Falls in Baras. Explore Mystical Cave in Antipolo and learn about its healing aspects, or stop by the historic Pamitinan Cave in Rodriguez. Tanay is another hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts, home to Masungi Georeserve, Tinipak River, and Calinawan Cave.
According to the official website of Rizal, the province has two main seasons, dry and wet. Visit between November and April to avoid the rain. However, the waterfalls look amazing in the rainy season!
Rizal also has plenty of accommodations like cheap resorts and Airbnbs with pools. However, if you wish to reconnect with nature, check out the best glamping spots in Rizal, Philippines.

What guests are saying about their stay:
“Useful tip: don’t rely solely on Waze or other navigation apps when heading to the camp. The place is still a bit off their grid and there are some parts in the area where there’s no signal at all. The host will send very detailed directions upon booking so please make sure to read thoroughly and screenshot for offline reference. Once I found camp, the stay was very comfortable. John Rey and his wife are running a sari-sari store which is very useful in case, like me, there’d be stuff that you forgot to bring e.g. utensils, cups, charcoal. The kubo was clean and comfortable, the river was gorgeous and peaceful…” - by Paolo

Though we woke up a bit late but we were still able to see the sea of clouds yay! We didn’t opt for the trekk but they offer it too. We just opted to chill and swim sa river. It was super refreshing! The water was cool even if the sun was shining so bright! They’re pet friendly too! We’ll definitely bring our doggo with us next time. 5 stars isn’t enough for the view, the peacefulness and the relaxation we experienced…” - by Natalia Antione Vera

“The jeepney camper is quite an experience. If you fancy the outdoors, this is the perfect place for you. My 3 year old son enjoyed our stay so much that he cannot stop talking about it for days after our stay. The jeepney camper is really cozy and complete with all the necessities you’ll need for glamping. I also appreciate the weather when we visited as the temperature outside dropped to 21 deg C which added to that camping vibe 😀 and of course we had to experience the bonfire activity and the crew at balai tanay was really helpful in setting it up for us. The staff/crew were also friendly and accomodating. There is also a stream just outside the premises of balai tanay and we enjoyed the short walk and dip in the stream in the morning…” - by Jose Luis

I live in a very urban area, and I rarely get the opportunity to bask in nature.
So when my mother wanted to go to Masungi Georeserve for her birthday last year, we all jumped at the chance.
It's a conservation area in the Sierra Madre mountain range of the Philippines, and uses geotourism to help in conservation, education, and sustainability. The area is largely untouched, with humans being the ones adjusting to the terrains and trails. Our guides were so knowledgeable and passionate about the place and its conservation, and we truly learned so much. We saw wildlife and flora unique to the area.
And the views were breathtaking. I'm asthmatic, and not once in the entire trek did I have difficulty breathing. The air was so pure and so clean, and so refreshing.
