4 Best Beach Resorts Near Unisan, Philippines

Unisan in Quezon Province, Philippines, is one of the oldest towns in the country. Known before as “Kalilayan,” it was founded by Malayan settlers. Colonized by the Spanish, it was then known as “Unisan,” which historians assume came from the Spanish word “unir,” meaning to unite. This town is known for Malatandang Beach, a long coastline stretching from Unisan to the neighboring municipality of Agdangan. Be careful of the jellyfish during jellyfish season, usually around April and May! In Agdangan, you can visit Dampalitan Island and go backpacking and camping. There’s no better way to stay in this province in a tropical country than at a beach resort. Check out below the best beach resorts near Unisan, Philippines.

Unique spot to visit in Unisan

Unisan is mostly a tranquil place, however, this doesn’t mean it’s devoid of interesting places to check out. Here is a must-visit spot in the municipality:

  • Calilayan Cove Beach Park and Restaurant: Situated right beside Malatandang Beach, Calilayan Cove Beach Park and Restaurant offers great activities beyond just amazing food. Guests can indulge in kayaking and boat rides. The property even offers floating mats on the sea, or if you'd rather stay on land, you can enjoy a game of volleyball, bean toss, and giant Jenga. I would love to try out a game of sepak ball while here!

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and access to beach. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on October 26, 2025.

Beach life in and near Unisan

Unisan is a seaside municipality and boasts a long shoreline. However, it is mainly known for two beaches: Malatandang Beach and Unisan Sands. Malatandang Beach is surrounded by resorts and Unisan Sands has an infinity pool near it that will add some thrill to your vacation. To me, Unisan Sands seems like the perfect place to bring your family for a fun day out.

Drop by De Gracia Beach Resort for a breather. See you summer!

De Gracia Beach Resort in Atimonan has splendid views of the sunset. It’s close to the biggest Rotary International Artificial Reef, found underwater and constructed to protect marine life in this part of the Philippines.

This resort offers different types of guest units, accommodating four to fifteen occupants. With such large accommodation, I think it’s a great place to vacation with the entire extended family. Most rooms do not come with air conditioning, but the sea breeze is enough to lull you to sleep.

  • Property highlights: The seaside pavilions offer great spots to enjoy your meal and relish the breeze.
  • Nearest beach: The beach is just a short walk away.

Good Tip

📍Unisan Beach, Quezon Province:

This beach was different from other beaches I've been to. The white sand and blue water are a given. But this particular beach was "not stringent" when it comes to fun. They allowed us to create bonfires, have our overnight campings, and provide us with grilling equipment. The hosts were very warm and kind. I would go back here, given a chance. So if you want to fully enjoy the best of yur beach experience, give this place a try!

4. The Beachtop at Tayabas Bay Grand (from USD 53)

The Beachtop at Tayabas Bay Grand in Agdangan takes pride in being the first geodesic dome in the Philippines. This air-conditioned rental is ideal for four guests, featuring two beds. Located outside is a bathroom with a bidet. As mosquitos frequent the place, mosquito zappers and citronella plants are in place to prevent bites. Wifi is available, too.

You have gorgeous views of Mt. Banahaw and the sunset majestically setting over the ocean from your deck. Walk down to the beach and enjoy a swim, but be careful of the jellyfish. You can also ride a boat to a small raft where you can swim in deeper waters.

  • Property highlights: The large deck faces the sea and offers a bird's eye view of the landscape.
  • Nearest beach: The beach is within a short walk from the property.

What guests are saying about their beach stay:

  • "View from the dome is great, although it tends to get too hot once the sun is out. The beach is not great for swimming/walking but if you’re only after the beach ambiance, it will do." - Liza (Caloocan, Philippines)
