Located in my hometown of Ranchi, Birsa Munda Airport has witnessed many of my forays into the great outdoors. Although it's small, I've never found it to be congested the way airports in bigger cities might be, which is a huge plus if you're trying to get a calm start to your journey. However, its limited size does mean you won't find many eating or shopping outlets inside—just a snack store or two offering simple items and a couple of gift and book shops.
